Alex is fluent in Portuguese and English, and holds relevant certifications in both U.S. and Brazilian markets, including the Series 65 and CGA.

Carries an experience of over 20-years in financial markets. Conducted previous work as an economist at Banco Safra and Safra Asset Management, Brazil’s 7th largest bank and 9th largest asset manager. From 2011 to 2018 worked as a portfolio manager at Bradedsco Asset Management, Brazil 3rd largest asset manager. At Bradesco, held responsibilities for conducting multi-asset strategies for hedge funds. Currently is a partner at Cardinal Partners and is responsible for fixed income investments and multi-asset allocations.
Holds a cum laude BA in economics from the University of Maryland at College Park and a MA in economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
